Executive Director

Founder of Bay Area Furniture Bank who has held key Executive level positions of management responsibility at Xerox, Apple, Autodesk and Hilti. A senior sales executive with international experience leading Sales, Sales Operations, and Marketing functions for small and large technology companies. He also served 27 years in the U.S. Navy, as a Naval Aviator, while holding positions of senior command. Ray holds a BS from Boston College and is originally from New Haven, CT but has been living in the local community since 1969. When Ray is not at BAFB, he loves to play catch with Rusty, his Labradoodle.
Operations Manager

A Sunnyvale-based community builder, education advocate, former classroom educator, super volunteer and angel. Dedicated to support local communities. She has volunteers for 18 years at the Sunnyvale Armory, served hot meals at the Sunnyvale Cold Weather Shelter. She is the Chair of her community of 1,400 homes and a Community Emergency Response Team captain. For her commitment to better communities, she received the Sunnyvale Outstanding Community Volunteer award in 2017. In her spare time, Valerie is passionate about opera and keeping this art form alive; she leads groups to live performances around the bay area, and is often found sewing in various opera houses costume shops.
Professional Driver Extraordinaire

Towering at 6ft 6in, Richard drove nearly 2 million miles as owner operator for 3 way van lines specialist in high tech trade-shows and computers systems. Richard's greatest joy now is watching the faces of young children when they get a second chance after we deliver furniture to their new living quarters. When not on the road, you can find Richard on a golf course, a sport he picked up in high school.

Driver and mover extraordinaire, you will often find Brian with a big smile first thing in the morning.
