We Furnish Futures
The Bay Area Furniture Bank’s beneficiaries are individuals who, while receiving assistance finding shelter from local social service agencies, still experience furniture poverty. Once they receive shelter, they rarely have the means to purchase the most basic of items, such as a bed, or a table and chairs.
This is where we come in. We receive donated, gently used furniture, or purchase new items, and deliver them to those in need, once they’ve been referred to us by our partner agencies.
We accept recipients through a case manager referral only. If you are in need of furniture and are currently working with a social service agency, ask your case manager for more information on how they can submit a referral on your behalf. If the agency is not a registered partner of ours, please have them contact us here or call at (650) 969-2100.
